Celestial Clash
Thiwo has developed a fast-paced, retro-inspired 2D space shooter that pays homage to classic arcade games. This project showcases our skill in creating engaging “shoot ’em up” gameplay, complete with a vibrant pixel art aesthetic. Players pilot a lone starship against waves of alien invaders, utilizing power-ups and special abilities in a battle for the high score
Task
To build a modern, mobile-friendly tribute to the classic vertical-scrolling space shooter genre. The goal was to capture the nostalgic feel of 8-bit arcade games while designing responsive touch controls and engaging mechanics, such as a combo multiplier and special weapon systems.
